Jolie Germaine Mugeni, the vice mayor for social affairs in Ruhango district has called on residents to maintain best health practices in family especially the family hygiene as a way of improving the health and livelihood in communities.
Launching the campaign at Nyarugenge Secondary School in Kinazi sector, the vice mayor said the six week long program will be integrated with the vaccination campaign, provision of iron tablets for all pregnant and lactating women to prevent anemia, vitamin A supplements for all children under five years and the family planning campaign for women in reproductive age.

Mugeni also urged residents to embrace sanitation and use treated mosquito nets so as to prevent malaria.
